Guglielmi: Amalia e Carlo (Live) is the world-premiere recording of the complete composed musical numbers from Pietro Carlo Guglielmi’s rediscovered three-act opera of 1812. Recorded live at the United States premiere at Florida Atlantic University on October 17, 2025, and released internationally on July 24, 2026, the project documents an international collaboration between Florida Atlantic University Opera Theatre and the Conservatorio di Musica “Giacomo Puccini” La Spezia.

Conducted by Giovanni Di Stefano and prepared from the critical edition and musical reconstruction by Barbara Salani, PhD, the 19-track, 97-minute album includes the overture, arias, ensembles, accompanied recitatives, act finales, and finaletto. The performance is sung in Italian and Neapolitan dialect.

The recording restores a rarely heard work situated at the transition between late eighteenth-century Neapolitan opera and the emerging nineteenth-century bel canto tradition. The release includes a digital booklet with historical research, a synopsis, critical-edition information, full credits, and production documentation. A complete filmed performance is also available and preserves the spoken recitativi in prosa that are omitted from the commercial audio album.
