Barcelona Clarinet Players - Tribute to Paquit D

Barcelona Clarinet Players promotes its new album with the well-known clarinetist, saxophonist and composer Paquito D'Rivera. The commitment of the ensemble to the creation of a new repertoire for clarinet quartet has meant that this renowned artist has composed for them 'Fantasías Barcelónicas', a work inspired by the city of Barcelona and various illustrious personalities related to this, such as Carlos Ruiz Zafón, Tete Montoliu and Antoni Gaudí.

This album includes, in addition to the homonymous work, compositions that the Cuban musician has made exclusively for Barcelona Clarinet Players, such as the emblematic 'The Elephant and the Clown', 'A Farewell Mambo', 'Wapango', 'Cuban Sharks', 'Kites over Havana', and the renowned 'La Fleur de Cayenne', with little improvisations featuring Paquito D'Rivera.
