1. Please provide us with a brief bio of yourself and your background.

Hi! I’m Reiko Nomura.
Composer, Film Composer, and Pianist born and raised in Tokyo, Japan.

I composed many songs including Japanese horror film music, game music, etc.
I have performed in so many places around the world including Suntory Hall (Tokyo, Japan), Mozarteum concert hall (Salzburg, Austria), the Host band of 2nd.st Jazz club, Orchid festival (Los Angels, USA), and so on.
Besides the performer, I teach the piano, DAW, compose.

Currently, I attend a Master of Fine Art program at Film Scoring Academy of Europe where I won The Jan Kaczmarek Scholarship.

2. What led you to become a talent/artist/influencer/performer?

I'm not good at keeping doing one thing.
I have studied classic organ, jazz piano, conduct, orchestration, film scoring. But, I have studied not only music but also art therapy, psychology, and web design.
As a result, it led to my borderless musical work.
My job is also a variety of genres such as a pianist, composer, conductor, instructor, etc.

When I was a kid, I thought it was bad that I couldn't focus on one thing, so I'm proud of myself as a multi-talented person now.

3. What is your own definition of an impressive performance/show/masterpiece?

Creatively, Beautiful, Unique, and Powerful, but minimal and simple.

4. What is your creative or ideation process like?

If I come across something from the outside like climate change, discrimination, lost loved ones, etc. that I can't help myself, I want to express that feelings.
Also I want to express myself that I find while doing psychoanalysis or meditation.

Actually, it's easy to say words that is quick and easy to express my thoughts, but there are various problems in words. And I don't think it's a polite way of expressing everything in words or attitudes.
So, when I want to express my thoughts, I make an instrumental work.

The composition process is just composed with feeling in front of the piano. After that, using DAW and analyzes notes and me.

5. What has been the best performance of your career so far?

I don’t have the best performance yet. I hope to die after my best performance very soon.
