This instrumental song-cycle explores the 24-hour round of Botswana’s Okavango Delta, capturing its serene, raucous, and eerie moods. Carefully curated bioacoustics meet intricate acoustic orchestrations.

The Creative Process, Concept & Collaboration:
This project bridges the worlds of conservation and world music through a unique collaboration between brothers Ant and Nic Paton.

Ant, a naturalist and tourism professional, captured the pristine field recordings during a arduous 12-day journey down the Okavango River on a traditional mokoro canoe.

Nic, an acclaimed world music producer, composer, and songwriter, then meticulously scored these wildlife recordings using a wide range of global acoustic instruments.

The recordings were woven into the compositions themselves, with birds, insects, amphibians and mammals becoming rhythmic, melodic and atmospheric voices within the music.
