MihiRā is a musical tribute to the Sun, Nature, and the interconnected spirit of all living beings on Earth. Derived from the Sanskrit word for “Sun,” MihiRā symbolizes the eternal source of life, energy, and creation. The project was deeply inspired by my grandmother’s belief that the greatest superpowers visible to humanity are the Sun and Nature themselves—a philosophy that profoundly shaped both my life and this musical journey.
As a singer, I felt this concept demanded a deeply soulful and meaningful musical expression. Music composer Nandhu Kartha immediately resonated with the vision when I shared the idea with him, marking the true beginning of MihiRā’s journey. The project was further elevated by the evocative and poetic lyrics of renowned lyricist BK Harinarayanan, whose words added emotional depth and artistic richness to the composition.
One of the most distinctive aspects of MihiRā is its original arrangement, which brings together women musicians from across the world in a powerful musical collaboration. Their collective artistry celebrates strength, harmony, nature, and the universal essence of life—making MihiRā not just a song, but a global artistic expression of unity and reverence for our planet.
