DonSir is a premier Taiwanese musical ensemble distinguished by its unique focus on the clarinet as a lead instrument in jazz and crossover performance. Their repertoire spans a diverse spectrum, including jazz, classical, pop, Latin, fusion, funk, and world music, demonstrating profound versatility that goes far beyond simple crossover arrangements. In 2025, the ensemble released their acclaimed debut album, Coanda Effect.

A Gold Medal winner for Best Band at the 2026 Global Music Awards, DonSir has achieved significant critical acclaim. Their accolades include being selected for the Weiwuying National Swing National Day Gala, reaching the Top 10 at the Iron Rose Music Festival (the only instrumental ensemble to do so, where they also won the Taoyuan Award), and securing first place in the band category at the Taoyuan Youth Talent Competition. They are frequent performers at the Taipei Jazz Festival and have been repeatedly selected for the Elite Group at the Taichung Jazz Festival. Recently, they have completed highly successful, sold-out tours across Taiwan’s most prestigious venues, including the National Concert Hall, the National Taichung Theater, and the Weiwuying National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts.

Through continuous innovation and artistic collaboration, DonSir has propelled jazz to new heights, inspiring a generation of young musicians. Their unique style and captivating stage presence have garnered widespread recognition across Taiwan’s music scene. Their performance footprint extends across major cultural venues and music festivals nationwide, infusing new vitality into Taiwan’s musical landscape.
The ensemble members have received multiple nominations for prestigious accolades such as the Golden Melody Awards, the Golden Indie Music Awards, and the Global Music Awards. They also possess extensive experience collaborating with esteemed international and domestic musicians.
