ASCENSION: SYMPHONINA RISING is the third album from The Symphonina Foundation (501c3 nonprofit organization). It features music from the winner (Jordan Jinosko, Symphonina No. 2 [Tales from the Aviary]), runner-up (Alexander Unseth, Symphonina No. 2 [Childhood Symphonina]), and third-place finisher (Christopher Reed, Symphonina No. 2) from the 2024 Best Symphonina of the Year competition, as well as David Fogel's Symphonina No. 4 and Daniel Fisher's Symphonina No. 2. The works were recorded by the London Philharmonic Orchestra (Jan Mulder, conductor), Budapest Scoring Orchestra (Peter Illenyi, conductor), and the International Symphonina Orchestra (David Fogel, remote conductor). The latter comprises more than 40 players from around the world who record their parts separately and offers the opportunity for young aspiring professionals to perform "along side" established elite players. Among the featured performers is Vivian Fang Liu, who played piano on David Fogel's Symphonina. Lead mixing by David Fogel. Mastering by Gary Gray. Producers: David Fogel, Daniel Fisher, Gary Gray, Gabriel Mulder, and Chris Prather.
The Symphonina Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization with a mission of spreading the joy of symphonic music to young audiences the around. It seeks to provide opportunities for composers, performers, and conductors to advance their careers and help create masterpieces for the next centuries.
